Dr. Janet Weyrich
Dr. Janet attended Northwestern University, earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1990. She also completed a Periodontics residency at the university, along with receiving her Masters in Oral Medicine in 1992.
She remains on top of the latest dental trends and comforting techniques through the completion of about 40 hours of continuing education each year. Dr. Janet is also certified in laser technology. Until 2008, she had her own practice specializing in Periodontics. She’s always helped with practice management and accounts payable within her husband’s (Dr. Tom Weyrich) office as well. A few years ago, Dr. Janet also started handling insurance, hospital cases, accounts receivable, and so much more.
She helps with the pre-certification of hospital cases and discussing more complex cases with patients (i.e. sedation, hospitalization). Dr. Janet works with parents to set up payment plans, reviews participating insurance write-offs, posts insurance payments, and balances accounts receivable. She’s also available as a second doctor for hygiene checks, etc.
Dr. Janet says the great staff who make customer service a priority, and the fact that everyone is absolutely wonderful with children, helps to make the practice a unique and a fun place to work.
This self-described busy, driven, compassionate, perfectionist, and Mom stays busy outside of the office taking care of her teenage children who still live at home, and checking in with the other two kids currently attending college. She adores spending time with her husband, and volunteering as president of the Habersham Central Swimming Booster Club, a committee member for Boy Scout Troop 5, and as a gymnastics mom for a local team.
Stephanie attended Lanier Technical College and has been working in dentistry since 1989. She joined the practice in 2005. Stephanie made the decision to pursue a career in dentistry after spending time in her uncle George’s dental lab when she was younger. These days, she does an excellent job helping kids feel at ease while taking x-rays, and also assisting Dr. Tom in the operating room during hospital cases. Stephanie says working alongside the doctor and the talented team to help patients enjoy happy, healthy smiles makes her truly love what she does. Stephanie describes herself as dependable, funny, caring, easygoing, and an animal lover — all of which we’d have to agree with. When she’s not busy helping out at the office, she’s usually spending time with her husband, children, three grandchildren, and her fur kid — Tippie the cat.
Since 1989, Julie has been assisting patients in the dental chair. She has education and training from Lanier Technical College with expanded duties, PALS, and CPR certifications. Within the office, you’ll find Julie helping Dr. Tom and the hygienists, taking x-rays, setting/cleaning up the operatory, and ordering supplies. Julie takes pride in her work and enjoys helping children overcome their fears, along with working with our special needs patients. If she didn’t have to work, Julie says she’d spend her days completing the many projects she has lined up on Pinterest. She calls the practice a special place to work because of the great team effort dedicated to always ensuring a patient’s every need is fulfilled. She also volunteers with the Good News Club at our local elementary school. She loves spending time with her husband and three daughters. The family stays active hiking, biking, paddle boarding, and working with the church youth group.

Having worked in dentistry since 1981, Margaret has amassed an impressive amount of education, training, and skills. She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia (now known as Augusta University) with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. In addition to assisting with dental hygiene procedures, Margaret is also the office OSHA coordinator. She enjoys working with the patients, their families, and our trusted team to help everyone feel comfortable and content. If she wasn’t working, Margaret says she would be hiking, completing DIY projects, working around her farm, and riding horses. But she’s used to hustle and bustle, coming from a very large, diverse family with 13 siblings and five children of her own. She loves spending time with them, hiking, praying, and embarking on new adventures.

With education and training from Gainesville State College and Lanier Technical College, Kristina has been working in dentistry since 2000. She’s been helping patients achieve clean, healthy teeth alongside Dr. Weyrich since 2008. Aside from teaching young patients about the importance of oral health, Kristina says she loves listening to their stories and learning from them. If she wasn’t helping children in the office, Kristina says she would love to be a stay-at-home mom. (But, realistically, Pediatric Dentistry is where she’s meant to be.) She also says part of what makes working in the office so special is how well the entire team works together much like a family, along with the “AMAZING” patients. Kristina is a happy multitasker, who is also loyal, energetic, and goofy. Kristina loves being with her family, dancing, exercising, and shopping with her husband and two daughters. When it’s time to unwind, Kristina prefers to relax at the beach.
Since 2004, patients and their families who come to the practice have been greeted by Rebecca’s smiling face and loving personality. Aside from helping people feel at home, Rebecca keeps busy compiling and filing paperwork, creating charts, and checking patient insurance coverage. She’s usually at the other end of the phone line when you call the practice, ready to help patients set up appointments and assist them with questions. Rebecca says she loves being a part of a team that is always willing to go the extra mile to help someone smile and boost their self-confidence. She enjoys having fun and making kids laugh. Rebecca is quiet, kind, helpful, and encouraging — all great traits to help patients feel at ease with treatment. Outside the office, Rebecca drives a school bus for the Banks County School System, and enjoys spending time with her three children, three grandchildren, and husband of 23 years — Timothy. She’s also an avid hiker and DIY project enthusiast.
